I was introduced to this company, by the YouTube channel "Essential Craftsman". He simply explained some of the unique features of the hammer, and what he liked about it. No fluff, no paid ad, just an honest assessment. My sons and I have a passion project of saving houses from the 1800's in our neighborhood. Utilizing architectural salvage from other homes, we try to save those that others have given up on. So, our hammers are our go-to tools. I was impressed after checking out the site, and seeing the generous discount offered to Veterans. I messaged for my code, and within 10 minutes, received a personal response, from a real human! (Hannah) After chatting about the YouTube channel and being Thanked for my Service, I placed an order. My hammer arrived quickly, nicely packaged, and with a sticker (always a bonus) :) I had explained that I never buy a hammer without swinging it first, but I was very impressed with the balance and finish of the one I selected. First test was this last weekend, when we demo'd a support wall, and rebuilt it, and the missing door frame and sill. 150 year old oak usually gives us a rough way to go, but the 22 oz that I ordered was just right for sinking nails into the framing with ease. It never missed a beat. I only found 1 drawback to this hammer, and that was the length of the handle for "some" of the areas I was trying to pry or drive nails. The tail would get in the way. But, there is never one hammer for every job. The longer handle helped in every other aspect. I definitely will order again, and it is great having an American company that is going head to head with the box store brands. Well worth the price.
